Back home

So I got back home from Eugene last night. At first I was really excited to leave and be coming home to my friends, but on the ride home I got really sad. I'm going to miss waking up and seeing my aunts and uncles, seeing Uncle D hanging out in the backyard, playing with Vincent and Payton and so many other things.

I had such a great time just hanging out with my family. I didn't realize how much I missed Easton, John and Jordan (who I never see) and how funny and epically wonderful my entire family is. I had the greatest time just staying up until 5 am talking to Mr. E and Jordan and hanging out with all the rest of my cousins. I'm really blessed to have such a sweet family who never fail to amaze me.

I met some awesome people like Sarah and Uncle D and Marty and everyone else. I was so happy just watching V and Payton. They are the greatest kids in the world and I really, really miss them. I want to go back again, sooner rather than later. I can't express the sadness I felt this morning and just not seeing everyone. I bonded with so many of my cousins. I got to see Kathleen get married and just be so absolutely in love. It's everything you wish for your family and it just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

More or less, I just wish I saw my family more, especially my Oregon family. I love them all so much and i'm going to try and make a trip up there by the end of the year.

Oregon

So, I'm in Eugene Oregon right now for my cousin Kathleen's wedding. It's been a lot of fun but I miss my friends terribly (even though it has only been two days). We've already had some great drunken family nights which I love and overall, it's really amazing.

Most of my time has been spent playing with my "niece" and "nephew" (they are my cousin john's children but I'm still their aunt). Babies and children are the most fun ever. Vincent is 9 months old and Payton is 7 and they are the greatest kids ever. Baby V and I have really bonded in these past couple days and Payton is my little buddy. Sidenote, someone did think I was Payton's mother, which was awesome.

Now all my drunk cousin's are arriving home from the bachelor and bachelorette parties so I am going to go now. More later

Observation

Sometimes, you meet really awesome people and you just really wish you could no them better. I've met some really awesome people through Sam Bradley's facebook and his concerts and I wish they lived closer and I could talk to them more frequently. The people that really come to mind are Shelley, TwoShoes, and Lisa.

I firstly have to just thank Lisa again for the Sam tickets she gave me even though she had never even met me. It was such a nice thing for someone to do. Plus her tweets make me laugh so much (at least most of the time). She is just so nice and funny and awesome and someone I would love to hang out with in real life.

Same thing with Shelley. We were friends on facebook and she just happened to recognize me at Bobby Long's show at the Troubadour. We didn't talk much other than hellos but at Sam's last show at Hotel Cafe we hung out and had a great time. She's so funny and has such great stories. She didn't take crap from anyone and she was just so easygoing and awesome. I love people like that. Now, she's one of my favorite people on facebook. It just amazes me how you can become such quick friends with someone just from finding them on facebook.

Finally, TwoShoes. This guy is amazing. He's so funny and honest and sweet and just all around awesome. He's incredibly easygoing and easy to talk to. His blogs are the reason I decided to write my own. It's just a nice way to express oneself even when they (I) don't have anything super important to say.

There are other people i've become acquainted with through Sam's page who I would love to get to know better. DeEtta, Jenny, Mel. I just feel like he has a generally awesome fanbase and I really appreciate that. It's allowed me to meet some really awesome people.
